This has potential to be really great for my area. I just worry that there is some backdoor fucking about to go down tied right into this.

Prediction: US Sugar Corp Moves to Brazil and the US conveniently relaxes the import tariffs for overseas sugar. Therefore More Profits at lower costs for US Sugar & Lake Okeechobee Agriculture either completely collapses or takes a hard turn towards ethanol production. Sugar is a big industry here but there are only about 3 two horse towns that will really be affected.

An unseen victim of this move may actually be in Football Talent. The several high schools (Clewiston, Belle Glade and Moorehaven) in that area produce more college & pro football talent than any other place in LINKSWARM besides the ghettos of Miami.

Fwiw you can see all the agricultural land to the south of the lake, I guess about 40% of that is what they hope to convert back to the glades 'Riverof Grass' between the Lake and the Glades spilling into the Gulf to the SW.
